My Bandmate and I Wrecked Our Guitars To The Max!

Last night, my bandmate and i spent some times at my place; planning to complete the ever difficult task - write the new material a.k.a new songs.

Its been a while since the last time we all (except Miat) practicing and give ourself a moment of idea squeezing moment. It such a blast. Thats why i think the combination in our band is so special. Like Irfan said, "the chemistry is there!" Everyone understand what "the band" needed. Since the arrival of our bassist in K.L inn recent time, the effort to compile fresh ideas have become more realistic. Guys... i really have fun last night! (emo sikit!)

Optimism is the key. Every single meelodies that came out from my guitar and Mesir guitar is precious. Every bit of single strumming and palm muting technic is applicable. As long as it's good to our ear drum's, that'll do it.

Since our last demo, Something Missing (released in 2004)... we took some times to take another step and give ourself a chances to experiment broad our view on our sound.

Gosh!

Lately, especially in this few weeks i keep on playing emo stuff in my ear drums! Nostalgic isn't it. Said Me to myself! Well... music do blend with our memories right and my ming just keep on pooping the old lame and good memories with it.

Eventhough not all my all time favotite track available on my pc but i list down e few song that i kept on playing since this morning and maybe since last week! Damnnn!! Am i emo?!

1. Weezer - Suzzanne

From what i know, this particular track is on their B-Sides and it was also featured on The Mal Rats soundtrack, a film directed by Kevin Smith. Great song combines with great movies! What else do i want, eh?!

2. The Get Up Kids - Out of Reach

One of my favorites band of all times, brought up by the awekening of second generation emo band. This legendary band have dis-band in the year 2005 due to personal commitment. And this track is taken from'Something to write home about'.

*Quote - "Without The Get Up Kids, there would be no Fall Out Boy."

3. Thursday - Paris In Flame

Another awesome songs from one of the greatest post-harcore band ever existed in emo-scene in United States. Consider as the second generation of emo band. Full Collapes their debut album realeased in 2001 and this is the benchmark for the years to come. Memorable riff and undenying as one of the most "catchy" emocore melody (personaly for me) ever!

4. The Ataris - Summer Wind Was Always Our Songs

Taken from End Is Forever albums ( 2001 ). Written by Kristopher Roe and guitarist Jasin Thomason

The song deals with the death of a relationship and is written from the point of view of someone who wants the other person back.

The title (and part of the lyrics) references the song Summer Wind by Frank Sinatra, which was a song that songwriter Kris Roe and his wife Denice used to tell the other one that they were at a particular bar.

5. Dashboard Confessional - Screaming Infidelities

Save the last for the best aight?! One of my favorite lyricist and song writer, Criss Carabba, the backbone, the main man behind the super genius emo down to earth band Dasboard Confessional. Yeah...yeah... from what i read from internet some people said that "this guy is too sad", "when will he get rid of her ex?".

Who cares? As long as it an mind blowing track and it suit me enough though!

As i recall, this track was also featured in MTV'S movie called Wasted in a few years ago. I haven't watch that movie yet but.... i think that is a decent one.

And oh, by the way this track is taken from "The Places You Come To Fear The Most"

Yay!!! Liverpool thru to the quater final of Champions League even though we lost 1-0 to Barca last night!

In your face Mr Ronaldin-who! We dumped you! I've warned you before Mr Ronnie. We are Liverpool and this is Europe; our favorite turf!

Since European cup name been changed to Champions League, not a single club are able to retain their title. And this season, chances for club from EPL to crown as a champion are enormous!

Liverpool, ManYoo, Arsengal and Chelshite, all of them have an eye for the European Glory. I didn't watch last night's game but from what i read, Liverpool making themself a hell of difficult ways to get to quater final.

Having said that, what else should i moan about, right? We're thruu and we beat the current Champions!

Isn't that something! Morally, both team suffer a painful lost in their league respectively and both team want to avoid an early exit in this phenomenal tournament.

Once again, our team have defy the statistics and the early prediction by various pundit in all around the world. This match itself have conquered the sport headline; why not eh? Two current champions from previous 2 season battling head to head, a mouth watering fictures; a prospect to witness the combative action between the 2 best midfielder in the world, Ronaldinho and Steven Gerrard.

And like a deja vu, our sweet victories in Nou Camp have done enough damaged to Riijkard's team. Why?! Because they're playing at Anfield. Our sacred fortress, our arena where all the brave gladiators fight for the glorious honour!

Is this the unsurprising sign of our historic legacy in Europe? Is this our defining moment again? Is this gonna be our year....again? Of course! Optimistic doesn't mean arrogance right?

Senor Rafa have won at least one silverware in a season since he take over from Houllier. And i hope the crown of The Champions of Europe will be ours again!

So, bring 'em on! We have no any fear for no team!

We're just unlucky!

Well, the result of the most anticipated games last week between my beloved Liverpool and ManYoo is already on yesterday back page in newspapers all around the world. Yes, we lost.... bitterly and undeservely.

Everything seems going on our way for 90 minutes. We dominated the games, we have the most shots on target, the most fucking corners yet O'Shea stole the point from us. How did they did it?

Firstly, its not a fucking freekick in the first place. The idiot ref blame Finnan for holding Giggs (the famous cheaters when they beat Little Lille). It was Giggs who hold him, you fucking bias!

Yea, yea, yea,.... Bla-bla-bla...

Please...compare me with Like Moanrinho!!!!... it just...so frustrated in the manners we lost the game.
Having said that, credited to our player for throwing a hell out of a performance.
I bet ManYoo's supporters in all over the globe can hardly breath and almost wet their pant for 90 min.

If you guys stick on your cubicles T.V's until the end of the match...you will heard that Liverpool fans still sing our proud anthem You'll never walk alone!

Intro: The V-Day is upon us all. And this is my Top 5 songs as my speacial tribute to the Un-holy day in our lunar calendar's years. Im not gonna write any review about this 5 great songs. Just listen and enjoy... and let depress together shall we? :D

1. The Beatles - Yesterday

-Who am i to talk about this merseyside's legendary band. All hail to the one and only The Beatles. This songs is so depressed even Mr Bean felling it!

2. Radiohead - Creep

- Great band, great songs, great song writer, great, great.. One of the greatest songs in modern era and this songs actually can turn ours felling like flipping a coin.

3. Weezer - Butterfly

- Taken from their second album 'Pinkerton'. Just read the lyrics - and you'll know why this freaking song is so depressed! Rivers Cuomo is the symbol of all nerd-emo of all times and that is a compliment! Weezer - one of my all times fav band.

4. Dashboard Confessional - The Brilliant Dance

- I heard a lot people saying that Chris Carabba is moaning too much about his broken relationship. So what?! Maybe, but he sang his songs with his heart out and this particular songs related so much with my life.

5. The Used - Hard To Say

- Basically the singer of the group, Bert, wrote the song for his girlfriend. They split up eventually, and one day on the road he called up to check on her. He found out from her sister that she had overdosed and died. To make matters worse, she was also pregnant with his child at the time. He put this song on the album as a memorium for her. Now that what i called - depress!

Track of The Day- Still In Love Song By The Stills

Well, ladies and gentlemen, Valentine's day is around the corner. So, this entry and this particular track suit the upcoming days enough right? The Stills, yes... this Canadian indie-rock Band have active in music scene since 2000. This track, Still In Love Songs is debut on their first EP, Remeberese in the year .

The Stills will inevitably be compared to Joy Division and Echo & the Bunnymen as long as they continue making songs like "Still in Love Song." The Montreal-born foursome find themselves crafting a modern sound derivative of '80s post-punk on their debut release, Rememberese, and it's lovelorn and romantic in all the right spots. This four-song EP is a nice introduction to the band's lush, dream pop-inspired stylings and a decent prequel to their studio full-length. Frontman Tim Fletcher is a vocal darling, particularly on the gorgeously designed "Still in Love Song." Another track, "Killer Bees" is equally tantalizing with its structured, dark melodies. The rattling guitars of Greg Paquet carry this divine romancer, while drummer Dave Hamelin shows his sentimental side on the gauzy number "Talk to Me." But most of all, this track have shown their capabilities beyond from what i expected.

The Stills aren't aiming to fit into the fashionably cool N.Y.C. scene, and despite them being praised by Interpol , they don't want to be categorized as sound-alikes either. Well, who could blame them, right? The Stills will have to work a little harder if they want to prove everyone otherwise, but Rememberese is definitely on the right track. This track is full with moody mix of cavernously reverberated vocals, thundering drums and driving bass, laced with high drama and bristling with the kind of dark, agitated energy which has evoked comparisons with Joy Division and Interpol.

p/s - it's always a pleasure to hear 80's post punk-indie rock sound vibrating insanely through my ears!

Track of The Day - Get Well Soon by Reggie And The Full Effect

Reggie and the full effect is so fucking full effect!!! Who is the man behind this mystical band called Reggie and The Full Effect. Okay, dummies..here's the connection; the get up kids + coalesce + keyboardist. Knock any doors now or is that too difficult for you (if..you la kan) those non-emo listeners? This time i dont want to dig down deep to their bio's and stuff or what they or him been up to. James Dewees, yes... he is the man behind this freaking awesome band. Okay, i'll throw something to you guys who really, really dont have a clue nor never heard of them. Reggie was created as a hoax mystery band to front one of the Get Up Kids' more inane compositions and Reggie and the Full Effect was "supposed to be" a rock act whose heyday came in the mid-'80s, and ended when front man Reggie dissapeared following a huge fire to the band's practice space. In reality, the band's output were simply quirky home recordings and studio goof-offs that held little in the way of continuity or imagination. But simply genius, brilliant and make me wanna go huhas-huhas!

Okay, back to to track... this vid focus on Nessy who dumped by "his" lovely human-bride. This might seems hillarious, but it's extremely sad. Why? There's romours that when James Dewees wrote this songs he is in hell. What i mean here... James was going through with a very nasty divorce when he wrote this. It makes it so much more real and enhances the connection. Poor, poor James....

Well, even a "supposedly rockstar" can get "hurt" right?

Hi, its been long time since last time i post "Track of The Day" entry in my blog. Maybe im just too tired and bored with certain things that messing up with my lame-life lately. This is a track by The Get Up Kids, one of my "preferred" emo-post hardcore band. This track, Action and Action was taken from their second albums, 'Something to Write Home About'. Typically, emo-kid would love this kind of album and maybe make this one as a bible; the desendent from the earlier/pioneer band such as Sunny Day Real Estate and Texas Is The Reason (to name a few). Full of heart-breaking lyrics, about kids who desperate and brave enough moaning around about the unfairness and failure of their love and relationship. Yes, they're strong enough! (Like me i guess). Personally, i think this is one of their best track in this album and the creativity of James Dewees (the man behind Reggie And The Full Effect) have brought them one step into another level and dimension. Can you imagne this "Something to Write Home About" without his sound? For you, yes you who retarded enough and ignorance enough and claimed yourself as 'emo' but never heard of this band here some infos about this legendary band that hail from Kansas.

"Yeah... it is been a very long journey. How can i forget about it. No... never gonna let it go, i'm not letting it go. Never, even for a once... in my hideous life have i regret it. Maybe i'm mad, angry, pissed but the truth is, she is the best things ever happen in my life. Six years have slips around my sanity with everyday thinking about her, about the reason - asking myself what motivated her when she did "that" to me. I never get the answer. Maybe, the best things to let her go is to meet her and ask her why. Having said that, her finger already rounded with "cincin". As a Muslim, "tak manis" if i call her and ask her to meet me. I just want the fucking answer, thats all!"

Its been a while since the last times i post an entry in this hideous looking blog. Maybe i didn't know what am i suppose to write. The possibilities of me writing nothing here - today is humongous. Lately, it feel so weird, awkward, strange like living in the small cages with all those smelly shit loaded with stinky human corpse! Maybe these emptiness trying to tell me something. My Top 5 New Year's Resolution

Wow! Its been almost two damn week i didn't write anything is this so called my personal blog. A few day ago i caught a quiver on my lips.... A sensational feeling like something was running madly around my lips and cheeks. I didn't know why, maybe it just felling...like nervous. But for what? Well, we (Malays) always have a pepatah for that and until today i cant find a single clue what is it. Hmmm... Maybe it's time for me to find girlfriend. Girlfriend? NAHHHHHH!!!! Maybe in ten years? Well... before i start to mumbling like an asshole like Borat did, i wanna wish everyone (ada orang baca ke blog aku ni) Happy New Year! My new year resolution? To be frank, i don't even think about it, i do... a little bit but hypo-pathetically almost none! So..to fulfill my "duty" this is my Top 5 Resolution:

Sedang aku mengetip-ngetip keyboard aku - semasa aku sedang asyik dengan bubbles komik terbaru yang aku tangah dok tengah tulis... tetiba dikejutkan officemate aku memberi aku dua link (melalui YM) yang cukup buatkan aku ketawa berdekah-dekah. Bukan seorang, bukan dua tapi empat orang officemate aku yang forwardkan link video ini kepada aku. Encik Fariz, Vovin, Zaxx dan Cik Jamy dengan berkobar-kobar nak aku tengok klip ini. Bila aku tegok je ejaan dia... A.T.R.O.M.E.N aku dah boleh agak yang si pembuat atau pencipta klip ni tak lain tak bukan orang kampung aku....ya, Kelantan. Belum load aku dah gelak sakan sebab neuron-neuron otak aku ni dah ligaht bersedia dengan lawak "bahasa" yang melampau-lampau. Bukan aku gelakkan "bahasa ibunda" aku...bukan. Tapi klip tu dah bawa aku kembali ke "zone" aku... sebab malam ni pun aku nak balik kampung, jadi elok sangat la kan! He! He! He! Actually this is a very,very,very old songs. It just that...today.. i wanna take you all to walk straight down to the memory lane. As usual, in this "great" Mondays, rasa begitu malas nak buat kerja. Why?! Because Sundays always come too late. That is so damn true! What the hell, on YouTube, i can see everything. So, bagus jugakla ada benda alah ni kan? Angguk kepala tanda setuju! Hehehehe! Okay back to this track. I guess everyone of you already knew about this track and thinkin, "what the heck is this guys thinkin about? This not new stuff! This old stuff!" Well kids, thats why i called it, Track of the days! Track for me. Apa yang menyedapkan halwa dan nafsu telinga aku tuk sekian hari itu. Okay, get it? Back to this track (again!). This Songs was genuinely crafted by the hands that gave us the new dimension of sub-music in the early 80's... from the hands that gave us the new meaning of the future musics call indie to electronica to emo to what ever music you wanna name it. Its Robert Smith and co. "Co" di sini maksudnya, Michael Dempsey dan jugak Lauren Tolhurst. "Boys Dont Cry" was the second track to be released by The Cure in the year of 1979.
It was released in U.K as an independent released in 1979 but later was included in U.S marketed album as one of the songs tittle in Three Imaginary Boys. For me personally, i think this is one of the most brilliant, outstanding, great, inspiring songs by The Cure. The melody, the lyrics.... all in one package. To be honest, The Cure has been my inspiration and my "mentor" in writing lyrics. What more can i say about this great band. Who am i to give even a good comment bout their musics. There a lots of band out there, who play cover The Cure's songs especially this track, "Boys Dont Cry"
The band like Reel Big Fish often perform a cover song in live setting. And the infamous The Smashing Pumkins also tease of the songs in many occasion in their live performance. Oleander the least known band to many Malaysian (i guess) released a studio recorded cover of the songs on their album and coplete with the video. The album title, i dont remember and im too malas nak check. Sorry! One emo band, Hell Is For A Heroes (from Sweden i think, but make an impact in US n UK) recoreded the songs in their B-Sides for their single Retreat. Maybe ada banyak lagi band yang suka buat cover lagu ni, bukan sebab nak cuba jadi The Cure, tidak! Kerana rasa hormat, kagum dan rendah diri kepada kehebatan the one and only The Cure!

Well, actually this is not a new song, in fact was taken from their previous album (the new album is And The Glass Handed Kites). This track, Am I Wry is taken from from their acclaim album that put them into the scene especially in U.S and U.K. Secara yakinnya aku aku boleh katakan album inilah yang meletakkan mereka sebaris dengan nama-nama besar band-band di Eropah. Sudah tahu di mana asalnya band ini. U.K? Bukan, sama sekali tidak... hanya band dari negara belah Scandinavian sahaja yang berani bermain dengan sound dan melodi yang macam ni. You all must be heard about the great band from Finland, Sigur Ros, right? Well, im not comparing or nak kata yang mereka ini sama, tapi just to show you the idea yang band sound macam ni "mostly" come from in that region! Okay little bit about Mew (not a lagendary Mew in Pokemon, okay!) This Danish band, was formed in ... i think 1995. Band ni terdiri dari 4 peria muda. Jonas Bjerre, Bo Madsen, and Silas Utke Graae Jørgensen, after former member Johan Wohlert yang selepas itu left band ni untuk jadi seorang family man sepenuh masa. This band is originated from Hellerup, Copenhagen in Denmark. There is a lot of opinion on what genre they were playing but for me it is simple but quite complicated. Senang cerita Indie and occasion on progressive rock dan kadang kala tu some people called them "pretentious elegence indie-rock" or "art-rock".

Okay, kita berbalik kepada track ini, track pertama di dalam album Frengers ni. Lagu yang berputar selama 4:54 saat ni mampu membawa aku, keluar mencari jiwa aku aku, marah! Bukan sebab aku upset tapi dek kegeniusan suara dan ritma yang dihasilkan anak muda negara pembuat Carlsberg ni. With these simple word aku gambbarkan track ini; apocolyptic, psychedelic, mathematical, surrealistic, these boys can sing to the heavens like angels while hammering out their demonic guitar and bass riffs. First time i got this track to my ears ( udah lama ya!) i'm so impress, shock and amaze. Sebab tak banyak band dari negara selain U.S and U.K yang aku dengar.
I love how their music is both tight and intricate, but also expansive, and always manages to sustain rock and roll as its focus, without becoming too cerebral or conceptual. And the most things that stand out in this band is Jonas Bjerre vocals! The vocals are stunning - lead singer Jonas Bjerre, still sounds like a choirboy, hitting clear, gorgeous high notes well inside a soprano's range, but with a post-puberty adam's apple. Excellent! Very,very,very much recomended!

Yup! Back to the basic. What else, than emo! Dah lama aku tak dengar track ni. Teringat pulak masa dolu-dolu masa belajar kat Uitm. Masa aku dok tengah emo, marah-marah, tak puas hati dengan yang itu yang ini. Everything is not right! Heart-broken-ass phase katakan! Well, mungkin ramai dah kenal dengan band Funeral For A Friend ( FFAF ) ni. Kalau you guys perasan, the last review yang aku buat pasal band Interpol, band U.S yang kiblatnya mengadap negara yang dah 40 tahun tak menang World Cup or precisely in U.K. Kali ni nak cerita pasal satu band U.K yang ikut kiblat U.S pulak. At first, pelik jugak aku rasa ( masa awal kemunculan mereka ). At that moment tak banyak band emo yang sound-nya tak tumpah dari U.S. Having said that, aku still rasa mereka ada distinctive sound mereka sendiri. Well, sedikit mukaddimah pasal band ini. They were formed in the year 2001 and regarded as a post-hardcore band. Well, they sound emo enough to me! In the year 2003, they were awarded as "The Best New Comer" by Kerrang! magazine. On dont be surprise that all of them is originated in Wales! Some people said that they're playing a much softer of screamo. I might agree on that. Do you know From Autumn To Ashes? Yes, they were much more "softer" than that. Scream but gently. He! He! This track shows a lot apa yang aku cakap tadi. This track is less-complicated-scream.. Maksud aku.. riff-nya yang direct tak ada unsur math-core yang berbelit. Riff-riff typical emo! Dan part di mana dia menjerit yang mampu buatkan aku rasa seperti nak terajang je PC aku ni ( sebab best sangat ) .

Lagi satu, the vocals are the big plus on this track. Lead singer, Matt Davies goes all over the range, dari intense screams to a familiar singing emo voice. Well... if aku nak bagi bintang.. i'll give a 4 bintang untuk lagu ni.

P/S - Aku bukan bias terhadap band emo.. no... aku hanya cakap apa yang realitinya bagus! Understand?!

Interpol mainstream Debut Album "Turn On The Bright Light"

Interpol... No, bukan.. bukannya international police, bukan. Tapi kuasa hentaman music mereka memang power se-power kuasa 'Interpol'. Maybe ramai yang dah recognize dengan band yang datangnya dari New York ini. Pertama kali aku dengar album ini ( in the year 2002 and my vox, Irfan, introduce this great band to me) ... and track ini khususnya... Aku bagai tak percaya ada band U.S yang ber-sound-kan kiblat U.K. Yup! I'm pretty shock and amaze. First time aku dengar lagu ini... minda aku mengajak aku mengimbau kenangan lama. Do you know the otai band called Joy Division? Ya, memang this band have similiarity in sound ... sound like Joy Division. Cuma apa yang membezakan mereka, music mereka lebih enjoy and lebih happy. Atau dengan kata yang lebih kinky lagi , more sunnier! Okay, a little bit of their background; mereka ditubuhkan pada tahun 1998 dan birth certificate band mereka dikeluarkan di Big Apple city, New York. Album debut mereka (see gambar di atas, Turn the bright light) di release pada tahun 2002. Okay, dah dapat idea macam mana sound mereka?! Back to this track.
Di dalam lagu ni, apa yang ber-messing dengan minda dan jiwa aku adalah riff dan melodi yang mereka create. Siapa cakap single string tak boleh hasilkan satu melodi yang cukup beautiful and mesmerizing?
It is the guitar work merekalah that speaks to me the most. The guitars chime and squeal with loads of treble and high-on-the-string arpeggios. Particularly on Untitled, the album's opener, and again on this track, Obstacle 1.
Moving right along, kita cuba pergi ke dunia dan syurga rhythm yang mereka hasilkan. It is here that the Joy Division influence shows the most. (Probably, that just my shallow opinion-lah.). Okay, secara summaries-nya aku tekankan di sini, mereka are heavily influenced by late 70's and early 80's post-punk, but they manage to have a more optimistic view of life than many of the people they are influenced by.

For more references about their sound, here some band that sound a little bit or more like them.

Okay... Salam perkenalan kepada yang belum kenal dengan band Pinewood Derby.... It's not your fault kalau you all tak tahu satu haram pun pasal - tentang kehadiran band ini. Pinewood Derby adalah sebuah band yang belum lagi sign dengan mana-mana label. Yup! Thats true! And i am totally amaze, kenapa tak ada orang yang nak ambil mereka untuk menjajah mereka di bawah label mereka. Hehehe... Okay.. a little bit history about them. Sit and listen... you'll probably getting know the future trend-setter in music. Pinewood Derby is the musical babies of Jack Ludden, Maryn Jones and Josh Staines. They are from Massachusettes, Boston in U.S. Actually, right on this moment they're collecting their material for their ip coming D.I.Y album and still searching for the keyboardist. Isn't that crazy!!!
But.. they have great support and attention from the indie-rock scene. Vokalisnya adalah seorang Cik Perempuan and she's also damn cute and yang penting sekali suaranya yang sexy yet with a little attitude like PJ Harvey. No...no... Don't misunderstand here. Their voices are totally different.. it's you know.. the punch.. Suara yang ada umph! Yang bisa menarik golongan Adam untuk berfantasi. That kind of voices. Sweet but dark! Not like Sheryl Crow ( itu untuk Bart masturbate...hehe.. sorry dude)..bukan.. Influences mereka yang paling utama.. of course Rivers Cuomo ( vox- Weezer), The Beatles (McCartney and Lennon) and Elliot Smith (to name a few). Back to this damn good track, pernah dengar dengan Rilo Kiley? Well, if you heard them.. you'll get the idea. It obvious sound like Indie-rock band in the 90's. Bayangkan dengan suara yang mellow dengan backing vokal dari gitaris dengan layer vokal yang begitu teliti. With two different sounds of guitars... one with a little perisa of distortion and the most sexy thing bout this track is 'suara' keyboard yang seolah-olah mahu mengajak aku menari. Siapa sangka band yang unsign ni boleh hasilkan produk dan recording yang begitu bagus. ( See, band mat salleh buat).... The lyrics too. Yup! Not that brilliant but good. This is a few line of this track lyrics....

Headline Kerrang! Tour 2006

Mon the Biffy! A phrase is often heard at the group's gigs; originating as a heckle from friends at early shows. Gelaran kepada band ini oleh followers mereka. Track '57' ini sudah berusia almost 4 tahun. First time aku dengar band Biffy Clyro ni masa aku belajar di UiTM dulu. Kawan aku, Omar ( thanks dude, for bringing the holy grail from Scotland) . Yes, this band is hail from Scotland. For me, this band is so under-rated and unknown to many people. They have great sound and great lyrics. Vokalisnya amat ber-influencekan penulis tersohor, Chuck Palahniuk the writer of Fight Club. Okey! Aku bagi sedikit mukaddimah pasal band ni. Album debut mereka 'the blackend sky' di-release pada tahun 2002. Dengan influence utama mereka, band hebat Weezer. But dont get the wrong idea here. They didnt sound like'em... No... a little bit, yes. Editor Kerrang! (Ashley Bird ) yang juga peminat gila band ini, telah susah payah mengangkat band ini. Bukan kerana mereka ini jambu, bukan...sebab distinctive sound mereka yang cukup menggoda. Okay, berbalik kepada track ini. Cuba bayangkan Sunny Day Real Estate dan Mineral.. 2 band emo-indie (without a doubt a living legend), ditambah perisa riff-riff gitar yang berkiblatkan post-grunge. If some of you ever heard of satu band Canadian (sori la kalau aku silap, but i'm pretty sure they're Canadian) Radish, you'll get the idea. Ada orang labelkan mereka sebagai Alternative-Rock. Dan tak kurang juga gadis-gadis emo yang labelkan mereka sebagai post-indie. Well, apa yang ada pada nama kan?! The music and the sound, the lyrics that count. Right?! This could be the most hidden gem ever! And if someone have this album.. you guys totally orang yang memang di-bless! Hahaha! Three piece band... bukan mudah untuk bermain dalam 3 piece band and at the same times...creating something brilliant.

Reggie and The Full Effect is fuckin full effect1 That is the tagline that you can heard on their debut album Geatest Hits 1984-1987. Jangan tertipu dengan tahun album itu! Tidak! Mereka bukan orang tua tak sedar diri cuba nak jadi rockstar bukan. But, secara tak langsung kita boleh bayangkan sound disco 80's yang diterapkan dalam album itu. Ok! A little bit of their history here; they were founded in teh year 1998 and still active now. Does the band The Get Up Kids ring a bell for you! Yup, the mastermind behind the great sound of keyboard dalam album terdahulu mereka. James Dewees, yup..that's his name. Dia juga bejas drummer satu lagi band legend metal-core, Coalesce. Ok! Back to the songs! Well, The Get Up Kids fan mesti dah tahu pasal sound mereka ni macam mana. Secara ringkas aku cakap, pop punk meet indie emo meet 80's disco. With the guitar riff sound on the full level of distortion but with the singing as sweet as boy band like Backsteetboy! Really! That's just my opinion. Have you ever heard New Found Glory? Well, that too pop punk right, but attitude-nya lebih kurang sama. Mungkin dengan hasil genius petikan keyborad James Dewees yang buatkan mereka jadi unik. Cuba anda lihat video lagu ini. Excellent! Peanut butter fall in love with jem strawbery dan dapat halangan dari bapa kanchik tersebuy yang juga sekeping roti! But as they say! Love conquer all!

Wow, this track is so kickin ass! Sudah lama aku tak dengar lagu ini. Kali terakhir bila kawan aku yang belajar di Portsmouth bawa balik satu khazanah CD yang cukup berharga. Well, sebelum tu aku bagi sikit info pasal Rival Schools ni. Band ni hidupnya tak lama. Dari tahun 2001 - 2003. Diorang kalau dari definisi editor majalah Kerrang! mereka ni dari mazhab @ genre post-hardcore, a bit of sound indie. Kalau nak tengok dari background vokalisnya, bekas anggota The Gorilla Biscuit (NYHC) dan Quicksand memang ada unsur ke arah itu. Tapi bagi aku track ni penuh dengan mellow, beat drum yang melodramatik, bass line yang amat clear dan riff gitar (sound Gibson) yang simple and a bit catchy ( in think they're playing in drop-d). Back to teh background, anggota band ni juga pernah menjadi soldier bagi posukan muzik lagenda, Quicksand ( see Walter Shreifel .. maaf la kalau ejaan nama mat saleh ni aku salah eja). Ada jugak yang melabelkan muzik they all ni as emo. Well, im quite agree on that. Okay! Back to their songs... The first time i heard this song it reminds me to Weezer. ( Well, not actually sama... but a bit).

Berkuburnya band ini tak bermakna berkubur jugak hasil buah tangan genius mereka. Tak ramai yang sedar kemunculan mereka. (Maybe untuk followers emo yang dah tua bangka macam aku ni tahu la). Some people said that they dont have originalty. But every musician ada influence masin-masing bukan. The best part of this song is, on the starting. The riff is so... how can i put this.... make your head jumping up and down. So, check them out. With youtube in the net... everything is possible to see.. right?

Top 5 Reason Kenapa Aku Suka Emo

1. Sebab bila aku dengar lagu emo, aku aku faham siapa diri aku sebenar. Maksud aku, bibit penyampaiannya, liriknya, jiwanya lagu emo itu seolah mengerti kehendak aku. Secara mudah aku zahirkan, raungan aku!

2. Lagu emo semuanya ada unsur love, kemanusiaan dan juga kedegilan. Degil untuk melupakan, degil untuk mengalah, degil untuk menjadi lain dan degil untuk berubah. Sebab aku suka dengan siapa aku dan aku suka dengan cara aku.

3. Sebab salah satu band faveret aku mencetus fenomena emo sendiri. The cure dan juga Weezer. The Cure satu band yang muziknya melampaui masa. Satu penjelasan kenapa Robert Smith bgitu genius dalam penghasilan lagu dan obviously liriknya adalah, dia mempunyai 2 buah mesin masa. Satu untuk ke masa depan dan satu untuk ke neraka jahanam. Weezer, well needless to say, pencetus utama muzikdan band yang buat aku kepingin buat satu band.

4. Emo bukan satu genre muzik, perlu ingat. Emo itu unik kerana penyampaiannya,kerana liriknya dan kerana nilai puitisnya. Sila dengar Dashboard Confessional untuk mengerti apa yang dirungkaikan di sini. Kalau kamu tak mengerti, maknanya jiwa kamu itu amat kosong sekali. Ya, liriknya.

5. Kerana emo itu dekat dengan jiwa. Ya, aku ditertawakan dek kehangatan My Chemical Romance. Well, pergi mampus! Masyarakat memang suka letakkan label, yang itu bagus dan yang ini tak bagus. Yang itu dewasa dan yang itu kebudakkan.

My anger management scale level seems to cool down last few weeks. Maybe because im not thinkin about her much more. Some dudes told me that i am addicted. Yes, in a bad ways i was addicted to the most beautiful (once-lah) things or creature in the world. No, it's not any kind of crack, no! Its not kind of pil kuda or pil-pil yang sama waktu khayalnya. I am addicted to the potion that haunted 'man'kind since the birth of Adam. Yes, girls..
Maybe you think i am something or somekind of weirdo or jerko or loser as some people say! But, fuck'em all! I dont care. I know my feeling my heart my desire and my lust! HeHeHe (not even smiling right now). Last few weeks i've been chat with a girl. She is a good listener. Just like me. Really!
